Telius Team - the way we evolved

So what makes four people come together to share time with each other and build a technology business?
  • What were the decisions that lead to us joining together?
  • Who had the vision and who drives it?
  • So we're going to tell you here, the story of Telius origins………..
Steve Palmer our consultant architect working in the big data end of the corporate market of VMWare system deployment, found that he regularly thought, ‘you know what, this is so good, why can’t we have this for the SMB market?’ Steve regularly shared his thoughts with his long-time friend and ex business partner Wayne Sayers who is an SMB service provider. Almost daily discussing the merits of VMWare and virtualization, and there the vision began. Steve built what Wayne said his SMB customers were asking for.

The Telius Phase I & II currently on offer is the culmination of years of work, testing and refining the products for the SMB; Enterprise Tools for every Business.
So two technical people with a product already operating in several SMB’s, question was how to grow it? I am sure you can see the dilemma ‘Well it’s not going to be me selling it, that’s for sure’ was the common thread.

Steve Palmer wanted someone he could trust that could bring complimentary skills and abilities; he hooked up with Jeremy Sharp, someone who he had worked with on other projects in the past, someone he trusted to know his stuff and someone he valued as a professional. Hey presto we had our telephony expert who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in convergence and media technologies. Phase III is looking fabulous with all new gizmos via multi interfaces.
We also had our channel expert Wayne Sayers bringing a wealth of practical hands on working on the SMB front line.

Still there was a gap we technical people are great but we are too busy ‘getting on with the technical stuff’ to be talking about it. So it’s great that we benefit from having an industry leading communicator; Sue Jordan, she has years of experience coming up through the ranks of frontline sales and communication, technology support desks and development. She now brings her skills of communication further developed as a Life & Business Coach, supporting and nurturing people to work to their strengths, to develop their talent and their businesses, to Telius.

Sue Jordan is the bus driver, collecting all the tickets together and ensuring we get to the pick-ups on time!
